Cover of a book titled 'Frodo: a quiet place: day one 2024', featuring a black background, large red text for 'Frodo', white text for the subtitle, and a close-up photograph of a white cat with black markings on its face.

cat of the month

November’s cat of the month is: Frodo!

Frodo can be seen in A Quiet Place: Day One, and belongs to Sam (Lupita Nyong’o), a cancer patient. Frodo is Sam’s emotional support animal.

Frodo is an incredibly well-behaved cat, remaining quiet at a crucial time: the day the Earth is invaded by Death Angels. Death Angels are blind, but hunt through their heightened hearing abilities.

Of course Frodo becomes frightened and makes a few blunders, but he’s still a sweet boy that returns to Sam whenever he runs away in fear.

He plays an important role in uniting Sam and another key character, Eric (Joseph Quinn).

Oh, also, Frodo survives the entire film! Hooray! We love you Frodo!
